The problems emerged after the release of Battlefield 4 angered fans community who accused the people from DICE and Electronic Arts of not providing the full gaming experience they promised. Being aware that this could be harmful for the popularity/financial success expected from Titanfall, EA officials have promised not to repeat the mistakes made with Battlefield 4.
Specifically, Patrick Söderlund, EA Games Label Executive VP, said BF4 was a very complex game both technically (appeared on PC, current-gen and next-gen consoles) and also in terms of gameplay (multiplayer up to 64 players, 60 fps, interconnection with tablets, Levelution etc.). But now, the experience of those involved in managing these issues should ensure a smooth launch of Titanfall, which is expected in March 2014.
