Cary Fukunaga, the creator of "Jane Eyre" the movie teams up with Warner Bros. and screenwriter Chase Palmer, who recently adapted Frank Herbert's "Dune", to bring to life the horror story of "It" from the novel of the famous writer Stephen King.
The novel "It" published in 1986, just like "The Stand", is one of the most successful and rich volumes of the author and Warner Bros. intends to film King's creation in 2 parts. The story follows a group of children, known as "Losers Club" that meet a creature called IT that hunts children and whose favorite form of masking is a sadistic clown called Pennywise. When IT reappears, the group is reunited, although the children in the past are real adults now. They do not remember anything about the first battle with IT.
The book was adapted in 1990 as a miniseries, starring John Ritter, Harry Anderson, Tim Reid, Annette O'Toole, Richard Thomas and Tim Curry as Pennywise.
